CMU-Q and Qatar Armed Forces sign memorandum of understanding

Brigadier General Abdulaziz Falah Aldosary, commander of Emiri Signal Corps and Information Technology, and Ilker Baybars, dean and CEO of Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU-Q), signed a memorandum of understanding on January 24, 2017.

The new partnership will allow Carnegie Mellon Qatar to share expertise and scholarship, including executive leadership training, with the various departments of Qatar Armed Forces. The students and alumni of CMU-Q will benefit from internship, scholarship and employment opportunities with Qatar Armed Forces.

This is CMU-Q’s 25th memorandum of understanding. Partners include government ministries, agencies, local businesses and Qatar-based offices of multinational corporations. Each of these agreements includes sharing CMU-Q’s expertise, while providing our students with opportunities to work, learn and contribute.
