CMU-Q grads named for 2022 Education Excellence Day Awards

Five graduates from Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU-Q), a Qatar Foundation partner university, were named as recipients of this year’s Education Excellence Day Awards. The awards will be formally presented at a ceremony in March by His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani.

All five graduates were part of the Class of 2021. Aisha Al-Darwish and AlAnoud Al-Ghamdi completed degrees in business administration, Reem Al-Sayed completed her degree in biological sciences, and Reem Al-Haddad and Shouq Al-Khuzaei completed their degrees in information systems.

Michael Trick, dean of CMU-Q, said: “The Education Excellence Day Awards recognize students who have done well academically, and also shown creativity, service and innovation. These five graduates have excelled in their studies and cultivated their many interests and talents. I am extraordinarily proud to see CMU-Q students recognized each year for this prestigious award.”

Over the past six years, twenty CMU-Q alumni have received an Education Excellence Day Award.
