CMU-Q announces Qatar Campus Scholars, Class of 2025

Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU-Q) announced the Qatar Campus Scholars for the Class of 2025, chosen from a senior class of about 100 students. These individuals embody high standards of academic excellence, and they are leaders within the community with a passion for giving back.

One student is selected in each of the four undergraduate programs. For this senior class, graduating in May 2025, the Qatar Campus Scholars are:

  • Biological Sciences: Dana Al Disi
  • Business Administration: Abeeha Shoaib
  • Computer Science: Fatima Yousaf
  • Information Systems: Lujain Al Mansoori

To select the Qatar Campus Scholars, eligible students are invited to apply, and are then interviewed by committees of faculty representatives from their majors.

From the Qatar Campus Scholars, a committee of representatives from all academic programs, as well as Student Affairs, selects two students to represent the campus as Andrew Carnegie Society Scholars. The ACS Scholars Program was launched at the Pittsburgh campus in 1975. ACS Scholars are undergraduate seniors from across CMU’s colleges and campuses who represent their class in service and leadership.

This year’s ACS Scholars are Dana Al-Disi and Fatima Yousaf.

The Class of 2025 will be CMU-Q’s 18th graduating class. Since opening its doors 20 years ago, more than 1,300 students have graduated from the CMU-Q campus.
