26 nations represented in CMU-Q incoming class
Qatari student population rises to 45 percent of student body
DOHA, QATAR: The enrollment figures for Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU-Q) for the 2018-19 academic year show that the Class of 2022 is one of the most diverse cohorts in campus history. Members of the incoming class represent 26 nations and this year marks the first time a citizen of St. Christopher Nevis and Tanzania has joined the CMU-Q campus.
At the same time, CMU-Q has seen an uptick in the percentage of Qatari students enrolled in the university, with 45 percent of the student body Qatari. For the 2018-19 year, CMU-Q has a total of 378 students enrolled, representing 38 countries.
This year, CMU-Q received a record number of applications from student candidates living outside Qatar, as well as a record number of students applying to the Computer Science Program.
Carnegie Mellon Qatar offers undergraduate programs in biological sciences, business administration, computational biology, computer science, and information systems. CMU-Q is currently receiving applications for the 2018-2019 academic year.
