First-Year Orientation for the Class of 2027 is a week long experience that includes activities to introduce new students to the campus. Orientation is organized by a team of current CMU-Q students and includes an intensive introduction to the resources, expectations, and academic areas at CMU-Q.
First-Year Convocation is a long-standing university tradition that is held before the first day of classes of the fall semester. It is the official start of the academic year, and welcomes the incoming class to Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar. By invitation only.
