Reception Tent on Education City grounds (near LAS Building)
Join us for an evening of awards, accolades and remembrances of Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar’s first graduating class. This congratulatory event is for graduating students and their parents, along with Carnegie Mellon Qatar faculty and Carnegie Mellon Pittsburgh guests.
- The celebration event will start with a reception at 6:30 p.m.
You will be asked to be seated at 6:45 p.m. to enjoy dinner and a program of speakers and awards.
- The event will take place in the reception tent on Education City grounds (near the LAS Building) and will last approximately two hours.
- This event is by invitation only. You will receive a printed invitation as well as tickets for this event.
- An invitation and ticket will be hand delivered to each graduate. Parents will receive a separate invitation with two tickets by post.
- Please bring your tickets with you to the Senior Celebration. No one without a ticket will be admitted.
- Attire for this event is business formal or formal traditional.
- Please confirm your attendance to the Senior Celebration 2008 no later than April 27, 2008 at graduation-2008@qatar.cmu.edu.

Ceremony Tent on Education City grounds (near LAS Building)
Join Carnegie Mellon University for its first graduation in Qatar. Graduation will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the ceremony tent on
Education City grounds (near the LAS Building).
- Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and close promptly at 6:45 p.m. Please arrive in plenty of time to park and find seating.
- The ceremony will last approximately one hour.
- Guest seating is first come, first served.
- The procession of graduating students will begin precisely at 7:00 p.m. All guests are asked to be seated in the tent before that time.
- At the conclusion of the ceremony, families and guests should remain in their seats until the recession of ceremony participants is complete.
- After the ceremony please proceed to the Reception Tent for refreshments.
- Attire for this event is business formal or formal traditional.
- Male and female prayer rooms will be available in the LAS building after the graduation ceremony concludes.
