Jeff Davis and Kevin D'Arco will lead this discussion on how best to build, utilize, and communicate skills associated with student club experience, skills valued by employers.
Hope Rodefer of the Academic Resource Center will lead this valuable session on what email etiquette and professional communication are all about. Electronic communication is great, but it has become so informal that students typically do not give a second thought about their audience. One of the most important skills any employer wants in a candidate is communication. This often seems common knowledge among students, who try to communicate their communication skills through resumes and interviewing. However, written and spoken communication, whether in intial emails, in resumes, in networking, and in interviews lack exactly what students think they are demonstrating - communication skills. ALL STUDENTS ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.
American soprano and Carnegie Mellon alum Nicole Taylor will perform on campus this Thursday, Feb. 9, from 6-7 PM. The performance will include a Q&A. Reception to follow.
The performance will take place at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar.
