Welcome to the Al Hannah Practical Guide to Living in Doha!

Contents

Introduction

This guide is intended to help you find your way around Doha, and answer questions for newcomers. Note it is a wiki; that means anybody (including you!) can edit or add to these pages. You can click on the edit tab at the top of any page to change the contents. You are strictly encouraged to do so; the more people who add to the wiki, the better a guide it will be. You can find a whole lot of documentation on how to add to the wiki at Wikimedia or at Marjorie's quick & dirty guide to wiki editing. In general, don't worry about breaking things; every revision of every document in the wiki is saved, so it's always easy to fix.

Getting Started

Having said that, let's get started! There are a number of ways to do so. You can search the guide using the box on the left. You can also get started in any of these places:

Contributing

Want to help extend this guide and make it more useful? Here are some suggestions!

Is there something you'd like to see an article about, but don't have the expertise to write it? Put it on the suggestions page. Want to write about something, but aren't sure what other people will find useful? See the suggestions page! (Or the Wanted Pages page.)

If you'd just like to see what you can do in a wiki, feel free to go play in the Sandbox.

Disclaimer

The open nature of the site means that the information herein is all unofficial. Nothing in this guide represents policy or official CMU-Q statements; information here may be out of date or no longer relevant.

Additionally, the source IP of every contribution is logged, and those logs are publicly accessible. The public nature of contributions is part of how wikis stay (mostly) sane and on-topic. If you're looking for an anonymous forum, you should probably look elsewhere.
