Carnegie Mellon Qatar offers five undergraduate majors: Biological Sciences, Business Administration, Computational Biology, Computer Science, and Information Systems. All five undergraduate majors require four years of full-time study, after which students earn a Bachelor of Science degree.
In addition to courses in their major program, Carnegie Mellon students can take courses in a range of disciplines including chemistry, English, history, and architecture. These general education courses complement what students are learning in their majors and provide them with the opportunity to pursue special areas of interests. Carnegie Mellon students also have the opportunity to take courses outside of their major at the other universities in Education City through a system called cross-registration. Grades and credits earned through in cross-registration courses are counted as if the course were Carnegie Mellon's own.
