Industrialist and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie founded Carnegie Mellon University in 1900.

The campus consists of seven schools and colleges: Carnegie Institute of Technology, College of Fine Arts, College of Humanities and Social Sciences,  Heinz College, Mellon College of Science, School of Computer Science and the Tepper School of Business.

Approximately 7,000 undergraduate students and 3,000 graduate students study at Carnegie Mellon Pittsburgh each year. An urban campus with plenty of green space offers students the best of both worlds.
